A Searingly Fine Wedding Buffet Menu
The hot & cold buffet menu we served at a wedding party in Strachur at the weekend reads so well, was such a big hit with the wedding guests & was such a surefire pleasure to cook & serve that we’ve decided to print it in full here. Feast your eyes on this:-
Wedding Buffet Menu – Saturday 9th March 2013
Hot Dishes
- Hog Roast served with cider gravy
- Langoustine served with garlic butter & lemon wedges
- Moules Mariniere
- Mussels in a light tomato & chilli sauce
- Venison Burgers served in buns with caramelized onion & tomato relish
- Goan Sweet Potato & Butternut Squash Curry served with boiled rice
- Spinach & Red Pepper Frittata Wedges (v)
- Baby Potatoes served hot with butter & parsley (v)
Cold Dishes
- Tuscan Tomato & Bread Salad with basil, extra virgin olive oil & balsamic syrup (v)
- Beetroot & Carrot Remoulade with a horseradish kick
- Pasta & Black Olive Salad with roasted vegetables, pesto & fresh herbs
- Spanish Pepper Salad dressed with garlic & extra virgin olive oil
- Dressed Mixed Herb & Leaf Salad with a vinaigrette dressing
- Crusty French Bread & Butter
Without wanting to blow our own trumpet too much – we have to say this was a fantastic buffet spread, mouth watering & delicious. Great fresh Scottish seafood, delicious roasted pork, super-tasty vegetarian dishes & a lovely range of salads – buffet food just doesn’t get much better!
