Location Catering for Rolls Royce

February 11th
Memo from the front line…….Millar Catering team on location through in Edinburgh.  Indeed, we go east.  It’s been a hectic few days through here but as ever full of fun & joy.  & Hard work too obviously.  Just the way we like it!  Today’s biggest hitter, undoubtedly Chef Whatsisname’s Beefburgers in Buns with fried onions & potato wedges.  They flew off the pass at Usain Boltish pace & no wonder too.  No Horsemeat here……..purely minced beef, onions, herbs, breadcrumbs, eggs & seasoning.  Simple yet  wholesome & tasty……& no tabloid scandals in tow.  Rolls Royce crew responded in serious thumbs-up fashion.  Accompanied by………well a selection of the finest from The Who.  Great burgers & a rock ‘n’ roll soundtrack.  What’s not too love.  Not a question that, you may notice.

 

February 12th
We can’t ignore Chef Allan’s evening meal extravaganza with Haggis, Neeps & Tatties with Whisky Sauce Vs Roast Turkey, Sage & Onion Stuffing, Baby Roast Spuds, Blanched Veg & a delicious Thyme Infused Gravy.  The result – well I think we’ll call it a draw this time.  Both extremely popular dishes.  Good work chef, well on the case.  Dinner soundtrack involving Visage, T-Connection, Chic, Sister Sledge, Grace Jones, Mayday, Metro Area & Stevie Wonder.  What’s not to love (reprise)?  Thumbs up all around once again.  Obviously.

 

February 12th
Dessertion this evening involved a wild variety of sweet-toothed delights including Apple Crumble & Custard, Banoffee Pie, Scotch Trifle, Raspberry Cheesecake & Lemon Tart.  That Millar Catering team…….sure plays a mean pinball!

 

February 13th
We wrapped up our latest latest location catering venture for Rolls Royce through in Edinburgh in fine style.  60 hungry crew members looked after for 3 days with breakfast, lunch, dinner & all day drinks service.  An excellent event & the snow even stayed away until Wednesday morning’s early flurry.  Return leg is next week so just enough time for the MC team to catch up on some well deserved sleep before we head east again
